FACTORS WHICH INFLUENCE THE RESULTS OF SRS


The following factors will influence the results of the SRS:

  • Body size

  • Length of penis

  • Circumference of penis

  • History of circumcision

  • Amount of scrotal skin

Results of the scoring system

On the slides displaying a few SRS examples, we use a scoring system to help determining if the result can be expected as good. The scoring system is based on the factors outlined below.

  • 9 - 13 points: Good result expected
  • 8 points: Fair result
  • 5 - 7 points: Could possibly be a poor result


Body size (and scoring system)

Small body weight less than 60 kgs Score 3 points
Medium body weight 60 and 70 kgs Score 2 points
Large body weight more than 70 kgs Score 1 point


Length of penis (and scoring system)

Long corona of penis reaches perineum Score 3 points
Moderate corona reaches mid-way between perineum and root of penis Score 2 points
Short corona confined to root of penis Score 1 point


Circumference of penis (and scoring system)

Large greater than 7 cms Score 2 points
Small smaller than 7 cms Score 1 point


History of circumcision (and scoring system)

No history of circumcision Score 2 points
History of circumcision Score 1 point


Amount of scrotal skin (and scoring system)

Abundant scrotal sack reaches perineum Score 3 points
Moderate scrotal sack reaches mid way between perineum and root of penis Score 2 points
Shrunken scrotal sack confined to penis root Score 1 point
