Example 2, Breast lift with immediate implants

 

 

A woman, married , has children, age 43 years old, had sagging and small breasts. She wanted breast implants. But after breast examination, we advised her to have breast lift in the same time otherwise the new breasts would be more sagging.

The Superior based vertical pedicle dermal flap technique is used and the excess skin was excised by using only vertical incisions. No horizontal scar. Textured surface, round, moderate profile, 175 ccs breast implants were inserted under Pectoralis chest muscle in the same setting. There is minor wound infection on the right breast and healed without any bad scar. Immediate result is not very natural because the skin of the lower pole need time to be stretched by the weight of the implants. The final outcome, photos taken 5 months after surgery, is fair. The patient had advice to have touch up surgery by shortening the distance between the nipple and breast fold and shifting breast implants upwardly, but she was just happy with her new breasts.
