Example 8, Breast Implants Revision

 

 

A woman, married, 2 children, 31 years old, had breast implants done 4 years ago using armpit approach and textured surface, round, high profile, 230 ccs silicone gel breast implants. The implants were placed too high and there was moderate capsular contracture.

Revision mammaplasty had been done using the infra-areolar incisions by expanding space for the new implants at the inner sides and bottom parts. Some capsule were removed and some were left. Both nipples were reduced in the same setting. The drain tubes were placed 3 days before removal. However there was fluid collection and needed aspiration for 3 times. The final breast contour is very pleased and she was taught to do breast massage everyday for 6 months. Post operative photos were taken 3 weeks after surgery.
